The 'Real Roc' wall stands 10 metres high with a 3 metre overhang and fantastic natural features.
We have 10 top ropes and 3 autobelayers with 32 climbs to choose from..
We cater for all ages 5+ and have a range of climbs available graded from 12 - 26.
The wall currently caters for Top Roping, Bouldering and Lead climbing (see below for more details).

Lead climbing​​​​​​
Rules and Guidelines for Lead Climbing
Arrival
· Register and Sign in before climbing
· Be aware of lead climbing & belaying requirements
Equipment
· You must have all your own lead climbing gear to climb at Harvest Rock.
· All lead climbing gear must be within the manufacturers recommendations.
· All lead climbing gear must be checked off by a Harvest Rock staff member.
Belaying
· Your lead gear & your lead technique must be cleared to lead climb & belay.
· Please “spot” your climber to the first bolt.
· The correct & “best practice” belaying technique is required for belaying;
“pull / lock / grab / slide” - Two hands lock off position as much as possible.
· No “seconding” please!
· Belay and keep your gear within the “climbs footprint” as much as possible.
Climbing
· Your lead gear & your lead technique must be cleared to lead climb & belay.
· Tie in with a figure of eight only please.
· You must be lowered from the top anchor (big screw gate) when finishing a climb.
· Clip all hangers on the climb.
· DO NOT grab the quick draws to climb.
Being under the influence of alcohol, drugs, tobacco/vaping is not permitted.
Anyone breaching these rules runs the risk of being asked to leave.

The Lions Reach Award is an Indoor rock climbing incentive award that has been developed for schools within the wider ÅŒtorohanga District.
This award can be used by schools, either as an additional incentive or alongside existing school awards, making it part of the schools culture and programme.
This award is designed to motivate and encourage students wanting to be the best they can be.
